In ORION Pre-school, we follow the play-way method which is an activity based method for teaching the various concepts. But as technology advanced ORION also made its learning programme more interesting by showing Audio-visual presentations based on their syllabi. To make learning more fun-filled and enjoyable concepts are also taught through dramatizations, object talk and puppet shows.

Ashadhi Ekadashi : Vitthal is one of the most revered God of Maharashtra and Ashadhi Ekadashi, Vari are integral part of the culture of Maharashtra. Our little varkaries of Orion, too celebrated this day. They talked about the saints of Maharashtra. Bhajans were sung and Vitthal naam could be heard everywhere.
Father’s Day : Father’s Day was celebrated on 20th of June’21. We had “Breakfast with Fathers”. Children prepared a beautiful cards, gave speeches and sang for their fathers. A few games were played. It was indeed an emotionally charged moment for the fathers.
Toy Day : Children share special relationship with their toys. Sometimes toys are their friends, confidants and bedtime buddies. Toys help in the all round development of children. Children like to show their toys to their friends. It is a “Show and tell’’ activity for children. Toy day was enjoyed by all the children.
International Yoga Day : International Yoga day was celebrated by our little Orionites. our enthusiastic tiny tots did some simple animal poses and also simple concentration activities as shown by their teachers.
Monsoon Masti : A whole week was completely dedicated to monsoon masti. Children were educated about the vegetable, fruits we get in rainy season, rainy wear and also rainy creatures. Sr. KG Children also learned about water cycle. Puppet show was performed by our teachers on rainbow.
The Christmas celebration of VPMS Orion ICSE School (pre-primary section) was conducted online for the academic year 2020-21 on 24th December, 2020. The celebration started with a brief information about Christmas followed by speeches of our tiny tots. Senior Kg children dressed up as Santa claus and taught some interesting craft activities to our pre-primary children. Compiled videos of dances were shown by our little angels.
VPMS ORION ICSE School conducted an online pajama party for kids of Sr.Kg. All the kids were dressed in colourful pajamas, had mushy pillows, soft toys and fun. In this party children were taught to follow their daily routine of brushing their teeth twice ,washing their hands before and after food, to keep their things at proper place.
Teachers day was celebrated on 5th of September 2020. Some Sr. kg kids became math, english, art, dance teacher and conducted the class for Nursery and Jr kg children.
Orion ICSE pre-primary section, celebrated independent day virtually. As because of the pandemic situation the schools were closed. All our little champs sang songs, danced and gave speeches on freedom fighters. Teachers explained about the importance of Independence Day. All performances were compiled in one video and circulated on the groups.
As the Children of upper pre- primary section and go to the primary section. A virtual programme was arranged to bid farewell to pre-primary children wish them good luck. everyone experiences mixed emotions. The little tiny tots who came crying in nursery with baby steps have now become inquisitive learners and confident beings. Upper prep children talked about their journey in pre-primary section. Lower prep children sang and danced for them and Grade I teachers and children welcomed them to primary section. Teachers too expressed themselves and with heavy hearts bid them farewell.

Some of the concepts were reinforced by organizing field trips, calling resource people and giving them first hand experiences of doing things for better understanding. We, at ORION feel that learning is not restricted within the four walls of the classrooms. Hence, a project based learning day is organized every year where classes are held either under the shades of the trees or in the open.
We, at ORION conduct workshops for teachers from time to time keeping in mind the need of the hour to update our knowledge.

Each child is an individual with a latent talent hidden in him/her. We at ORION give them ample opportunities to showcase their talent. Be it our Annual Sports Day or our Annual Day where there is cent per cent participation by our children.
